Early in the morning on April 20th, 2011, Orchard Park crews were dispatched mutual aid to Windom for a possible structure fire on Carriage Drive. Upon arrival, crews initiated an aggressive interior attack on the fire. Fire crews were later forced to back off the interior attack and preform defensive operations. Crews from all throughout the Southtowns were called in for assistance. Damage was initially estimated to be upwards of $500,000. The cause of the fire was deemed to be caused by a lightning strike.
