The Orchard Park Fire Company responded on March 23, 2014 as automatic mutual aid to the Windom Fire Company for a report of a structure fire. Upon dispatch, units responding were advised that the Orchard Park Police Department was on location, confirming a fully involved structure fire. The Orchard Park Fire Company responded with Orchard Park Truck 6, Engine 3, and Rescue 7 along with Orchard Park 9-1. Upon arrival, Orchard Park Truck 6 set up its aerial and put its master stream to work, protecting the close-by residence. Orchard Park Engine 3 arrived shortly after Truck 6 and supplied water to the aerial. The Windom Fire Company was assisted also by Hillcrest Fire, Orchard Park EMS, Scranton Fire (mutual aid Ladder Truck) , Newton Abbott Fire (FAST) . The Reserve Fire Company and Armor Fire Company filled in our stations while we were working, ensuring the Town of Orchard Park was adequately covered while our crews were on this incident. In total, all the residents did escape the fire, though three victims were transported to a local hospital for further care. Nice job by all!
