Late this afternoon, the Orchard Park Fire Company was alerted to respond mutual aid with Hillcrest Fire. Hillcrest was dispatched to a report of an injured person on the trail to the Eternal Flame, a hiking trail_located in Chestnut Ridge Park_that traverses some rough terrains. Crews from Orchard Park helped located the patient and extricate the patient with the assistance from the West Falls Fire Company ATV Unit. The patient was later transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This incident is a great example of why the Orchard Park Fire District and West Falls train together, preparing for incidents just like this!
