In the past month, the Orchard Park Fire Company Central Station has had solar panels installed to its truck room roof.
The Orchard Park Fire District received a grant funded by NYSERDA_and the New York State Power Authority_to pay for the solar panels, which were installed by Solar Liberty. The system is able to produce 4.8 kw! Late last month, the_solar panels were put "on-line", now generating power for the Fire Station as well as excess power not being used is put back in the "grid", in turn, reducing our power consumption cost!
