Late this evening, the Orchard Park Fire Company was dispatched to a Fire Alarm Activation at 2336 Southwestern Blvd, Carnation Senior Housing. Orchard Park 9-2 called on location, reporting a burst sprinkler pipe in the attic. Orchard Park Engine 1 and Engine 3 responded to assist with the evacuation of approximately 30 residents. With the assistance from the Orchard Park Police Department and the Town of Orchard Park Building Inspector, rooms in the affected areas were evaluated, and in total, 6 rooms were determined to not be occupiable due to the water damage. _The cause of the burst pipe is believed to be due to the recent prolonged low temperatures in the area.
