Orchard Park and East Seneca extricate patient, flown by Mercy Flight

Late this evening, the Orchard Park Fire Company was alerted to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Southwestern Blvd and Angle Rd. While en route, a firefighter on location advised dispatch that extrication would be required. Orchard Park EMS Medic 5 called on location reporting multiple patients, also requesting Mercy Flight to the scene. Upon arrival, it was discovered, a neighboring town fire company, East Seneca Fire, was also dispatched because of the location if the incident being on the town border. Crews from the Orchard Park and East Seneca Fire worked to extricate the patient. Crews were also assisted on scene by Windom Fire, for traffic, as well as Rural/Metro WNY, and Erie County SMART MD-307. In total, 4 patients were transported to local hospitals, including one by Mercy Flight. The accident is currently under investigation by the Orchard Park Police Department.
