This evening, members from the Orchard Park Fire Company and staff from the Eagle Ridge Recreation Association trained together performing water rescues. Firefighters were able to practice back-boarding patients in water, performing water rescues, and use of water rescue equipment. The Orchard Park Fire Company was able to see the highly trained staff at Eagle Ridge respond to_a simulated emergency, and watch them practice their Emergency Action Plan, and simulate a response by EMS as if there was a true emergency. Crews from Orchard Park also took advantage of the opportunity training in the water, simulating an emergency in a backyard, private pool. Crews_preformed patient extrication from the water.
