Tonight, Capt. Kowalski, Capt. Szalay and Lt. Kelly traveled to the Chaffee-Sardinia Fire Company to teach their firefighters skills that were picked up from our most recent trip to the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis, IN. Firefighters from Chaffee-Sardinia, Holland, and Springville were in attendance as well as crews from Mercy EMS, their commercial ambulance provider. Our firefighters showed them on how to safely handle snow blower injuries, impalement injuries, hand injuries in augers, as well as ring removal.
