Firefighters respond to apartment fire on Carriage Dr

This morning, Firefighters responded with Hillcrest, Windom to a report of smoke in the basement. Orchard Park Police on location reported a fire in an apartment, upgrading the assignment to a working fire, resulting in_Newton Abbott FAST and Scranton Truck 6 to also be dispatched. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the apartment of origin. Firefighters and Police Officers were able to successfully get everyone out of the building, however, one dog did perish in the blaze. Armor Fire was also requested for one engine to assist.
