Tuesday evening, the Orchard Park Fire Company, with Hillcrest, Windom, Newton Abbott FAST and Scranton Truck 6 were dispatched to a report of a possibly structure fire on Ferndale. First arriving units found heavy smoke pushing from the residence. Crews worked tirelessly to extinguish the fire, fighting through the tough basement fire conditions. Orchard Park was also assisted by the Hamburg Fire Company Air Trailer. West Falls, Reserve and Armor Fire Companies provided coverage to the Town of Orchard Park while crews operated on scene. All occupants were able to exit the residence prior to arrival and no injuries were reported.
